Migration Services

It can be daunting

Migration and upgrading of applications and environments can be a daunting task if you are not aware of the pitfalls. Fortunately, Centrivity uses processes to avoid the risk of pitfalls and missed timelines. Our consultants have years of migration experience not only within a platform such as Windows XP to Windows Vista, but beyond the platform from AS-400 to Windows 2008.

Applications also apply. Email, directory services, networks, custom applications are just a few of the migrations Centrivity consultants have experience with. We use a three phased approach to migration services.

Initiation phase

During the initiation phase, Centrivity consultants work to scope the project and develop a high-level plan that may meet your business needs. We will review your current architecture to determine any dependencies and potential road-blocks and provide the to you with our recommendation. The key deliverables are a quote and proposal for the entire migration project.

Architecture phase

The architecture phase provides the details to include the project delivery timeline, processes, metrics and resources need to complete the migration. The key deliverable for the architecture phase is a summary report that highlights the confirmation of the assumptions made during the initiation phase and the work breakdown structure.

Implementation Phase

The implementation phase completes the migration process by measuring all benchmarks and deliverables using the previously defined metrics. The result is a machine or an application that is running with migrated users and data.
